Responsibilities:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
2. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of the basket for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restock merchandise.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts, returning them to designated areas.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all areas inside and outside the store.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
11. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
12. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repair needs.
14. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
15. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Manage conflicts in a non-confrontational manner.
18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
19. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
