Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damaging contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all areas inside and outside of the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Follow all local, state, and federal laws, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
