Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return bascarts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
7. Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
8. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
10. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
11. Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and assisting with store navigation.
12. Follow all legal and company guidelines, and manage conflict professionally.
13. Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
14. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
