Job Description: Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities include:

1. Bagging groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
2. Assisting in removing merchandise from carts for checkout and offering to help load bags into customers' cars.
3. Performing basic shelf conditioning and returning merchandise to shelves.
4. Informing customers of grocery specials and gathering shopping carts.
5. Cleaning spills, collecting trash, and maintaining store cleanliness inside and outside.
6. Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
7. Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
8. Adhering to food safety regulations and practicing preventive maintenance on equipment.
9. Creating a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and providing support, especially to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
10. Following all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
11. Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts, and acting with honesty and integrity.
12. Following directions and seeking assistance when needed to resolve issues.
