Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts at checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations, inspect equipment, and notify management of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, act with honesty, follow directions, and support customers, including minors and seniors.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
