Job Description: Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger

As part of our team, you'll be responsible for:

1. Bagging groceries at checkout, striving to pack at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
6. Informing customers about grocery specials and returning merchandise to shelves.
7. Gathering and returning shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining cleanliness of all store areas.
9. Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
10. Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
11. Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
12. Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Practicing preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
14. Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
15. Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Managing conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
18. Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
