Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place at the front end.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
5. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
6. Maintain a neat and clean work station and surrounding areas.
7. Assist in stocking milk, eggs, and other products.
8. Help customers locate products.
9. Avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders to ensure efficiency.
10. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
11. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and cleaning all store areas, including bathrooms.
12. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
13. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
14. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
15. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
16. Use the intercom properly.
17. Understand shelf tags for price changes and assist with stock merchandise.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.
