Job Title

Courtesy Clerk (Bagger) - Student at Food City / KVAT Foods Inc.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to company policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and unload shopping carts for customers.
4. Assist in keeping shopping carts organized and in their proper place.
5. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
6. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
7. Maintain a neat and clean work station and surrounding areas.
8. Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
9. Avoid conversing with other associates while bagging orders.
10. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
11. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and keeping bathrooms clean.
12. Maintain litter-free parking lot and shopping cart areas.
13. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
14. Replace misplaced items and manage trash and bale boxes.
15. Properly use the intercom system.
16. Understand and assist with shelf tags and price changes.
17. Stock merchandise and perform other duties as assigned.
