Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to company policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in keeping them organized.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and help keep the shopping area tidy.
5. Assist in keeping shopping carts in their designated areas outside the store.
6. Support cashiers to ensure quick and efficient checkout processes.
7. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
8. Maintain cleanliness of the work station and surrounding areas.
9. Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
10. Avoid engaging in conversations with coworkers while bagging orders to maintain efficiency.
11. Understand and explain the ValuCard program to customers.
12. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.
13. Keep bathrooms clean and well-maintained.
14. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
15. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
16. Replace misplaced items to their correct locations.
17. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
18. Use the intercom properly for store communications.
19. Understand shelf tags and assist with price changes.
20. Stock merchandise in various sections of the store.
21. Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
