Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in stocking shelves, including milk and eggs.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
5. Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place and the work station neat and clean.
6. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
7. Assist customers in locating products.
8. Maintain focus during bagging; avoid engaging in conversations with other associates while performing this task.
9. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
10. Assist in sweeping, mopping all store areas, and keeping bathrooms and parking lot litter-free.
11. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
12. Replace misplaced items and collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
13. Properly use the intercom system.
14. Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
15. Stock merchandise and perform other duties as assigned.
