Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in stocking merchandise.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and keep shopping carts in proper place on the front end.
5. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
6. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding areas.
8. Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
9. Refrain from carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders to ensure efficiency.
10. Understand and explain the ValuCard program to customers.
11. Assist in cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and keeping bathrooms tidy.
12. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
13. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
14. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
15. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
16. Use the intercom properly.
17. Understand shelf tags for price changes and assist in stocking merchandise.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.
