Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place at the front end.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
5. Assist cashiers to check out customers efficiently.
6. Keep the work station and surrounding areas neat and clean.
7. Assist in stocking milk and eggs and help customers locate products.
8. Never engage in conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
9. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
10. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness in the store, including bathrooms.
11. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts free of litter.
12. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
13. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
14. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
15. Properly use the intercom system.
16. Understand shelf tags for assisting with price changes and stock merchandise accordingly.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
