Job description

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and assist in stocking merchandise.
4. Unload shopping carts for customers and keep carts in their proper place on the front end.
5. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
6. Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot and keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
7. Keep the work station and surrounding areas neat and clean, including bathrooms.
8. Assist in stocking milk, eggs, and other products; help customers locate items.
9. Avoid conversing with other associates while bagging orders to maintain efficiency.
10. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
11. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.
12. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
13. Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
14. Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
15. Properly use the intercom system.
16. Understand shelf tags and assist with price changes.
17. Stock merchandise and perform other duties as assigned.
