Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place on the front end.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Maintain a neat and clean work station and surrounding areas.
• Assist in stocking milk, eggs, and other products, and help customers locate items.
• Refrain from engaging in conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping, mopping, and keeping bathrooms clean.
• Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts free of litter.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Use the intercom properly.
• Understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stock merchandise and perform other duties as assigned.
