Job summary

The City of Lakewood, CO is seeking a Court Marshal to perform security duties in Municipal Court, operate security equipment such as magnetometers and X-ray, transport prisoners, and serve subpoenas, citations and other orders to persons involved in Court cases.

Ideal candidates will be qualified with Colorado P.O.S.T. certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, at least two years of law enforcement experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years P.O.S.T. law enforcement experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and security for all court sessions.
• Operate court security equipment and screen entrants.
• Execute municipal warrants and process related documents.
• Transport prisoners to/from courts and jails.
• Assist police in non-emergency or emergency situations when called upon.
• Handle subpoenas, citations, and restraining orders.
