Job summary

City and County of Broomfield seeks a Court Security Officer to safeguard the Combined Courts, screen entrants, and monitor CCTV. The role supports court personnel and the public while enforcing state statutes and local ordinances.

You will work with other agencies, maintain records, testify when required, and uphold confidentiality. Starting pay is commensurate with experience and includes strong benefits and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer service or screening environment preferred.
• Experience in police or court security screening is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Combined Courts Screening Station.
• Wand or pat searches of entrants for prohibited articles.
• Monitor security cameras for Police Department and buildings.
• Interact with the public to resolve problems and mediate conflicts.
• Assist sworn personnel with arrests and routine tasks.
• Testify in municipal, district, and county court as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow laws and policies.
• Keep operational records and prepare reports.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain good relationships.
• Use all required safety equipment.
