The Maricopa County Superior Court seeks a dedicated Court Reporter to provide verbatim reporting for various court proceedings. The successful candidate will prepare accurate transcripts in a timely manner and maintain stenograph equipment and software.
Essential qualifications include Arizona Court Reporter Certification and a valid Arizona driver’s license. The role requires ability to transcribe complex terminology and coordinate with multiple court teams.
An official Court Reporter provides verbatim reporting of court proceedings. The Court Reporter must prepare accurate and timely transcripts pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 40. Court Reporters can be assigned to any of the five court locations throughout Maricopa County and work in any court department, including but not limited to grand jury, criminal, civil, family, juvenile, probate/mental health, and administrative hearings.
The Judicial Branch provides reimbursement for employee’s professional licensure/certification costs required to qualify for and maintain employment, or to legally perform their job. The reimbursement applies to costs associated with the maintenance of the required license/certification, not the initial costs to become licensed/certified.

Courtroom environment. May require travel to any Judicial Branch work locations within Maricopa County for coverage assignments.
