Job summary

Maricopa County is looking for an Official Court Reporter to provide verbatim reporting of court proceedings across its courts. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, along with an Arizona court reporter certification. Responsibilities include reporting courtroom activities and preparing detailed transcripts for various legal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Arizona Certificate as a court reporter pursuant to A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 40 is mandatory.
• Four years of court reporting experience preferred.
• Expertise in courtroom practices and legal terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report courtroom proceedings using stenograph equipment.
• Prepare accurate transcripts for various court personnel.
• Edit and certify transcripts as true copies.
