Job summary

The Maricopa County Superior Court seeks a dedicated Court Reporter to provide verbatim reporting for various court proceedings. The successful candidate will prepare accurate transcripts in a timely manner and maintain stenograph equipment and software.

Essential qualifications include Arizona Court Reporter Certification and a valid Arizona driver’s license. The role requires ability to transcribe complex terminology and coordinate with multiple court teams.

Qualifications

• Arizona Certification as a court reporter (A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 40).
• Valid Arizona driver's license or ability to obtain by time of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Report courtroom proceedings using stenograph equipment and transcription software.
• Read aloud from stenographic notes as requested by court or counsel.
• Prepare and produce transcripts of cases as requested by litigants, attorneys, judges and others.
• Edit, proofread, bind, and certify transcripts as true and accurate copies.
• Distribute transcripts to appropriate parties.
• Maintain and update stenographic equipment and computer systems.
• Archive electronically produced stenographic notes and files.
• May assist court office personnel with various duties.
