Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Pretrial Services Specialist to review arrests, conduct interviews, run background checks, and advise on pretrial release decisions. The role supports the judicial branch in Region 6, Campbell County, with responsibilities that include monitoring supervised releases and preparing formal reports for the courts.

The position requires an Associate's degree, 2+ years in criminal justice, FBI clearance, and NCIC certification.

Qualificações

• Associates degree required or equivalent experience.
• At least two years’ experience in criminal justice or related field.
• Must pass FBI clearance and NCIC certification within 60 days.

Responsabilidades

• Interview defendants within 24 hours of jail booking and gather arrest documents.
• Review case history and risk assessment scores for pretrial release decisions.
• Recommend pretrial release with supervision or diversion when appropriate.
• Supervise defendants on monitored release and supervise drug testing.
• Submit detailed written reports to court and supervising agencies.
• Enter data into the PRIM system and maintain case records.
• Travel to counties for meetings, trainings, and court-related activities.
• Attend court and communicate with judges during pretrial proceedings.
