Job summary

The Iowa Judicial Branch in Wayne County seeks a Judicial Operations Clerk to perform clerical support and customer service for efficient court operations and the integrity of court records.

This role processes documents such as orders, motions, applications, warrants, complaints, bonds, exhibits, and other official case materials. It provides in-person and phone assistance, records payments, and supports case processing for attorneys and agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of professional office experience (court/legal support preferred).
• Ability to learn court-record software and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to court users in person and by phone.
• Process and record documents and payments for court operations.
• Maintain and publish information and files accurately and securely.
• Support courtroom operations as needed, including jury-related tasks.
• Assist attorneys, judges, and agencies with case information and processing.
