This position may be full-time remote eligible, if the candidate selected resides in an area outside of Tallahassee, Florida.
The Court Operations Consultant works independently planning, implementing, and managing Dependency Court Improvement Program projects. Serving as the Office of Family Courts’ dependency drug court subject matter expert, the position supports the statewide implementation and sustainability of Florida’s child welfare-related problem-solving court programs. The position leads continuous quality improvement efforts, supports data collection and analysis, and coordinates training and technical assistance activities for judges, magistrates, court staff, and child welfare stakeholders. This position also provides staff support to Supreme Court committees and dependency advisory groups, with responsibilities that include coordinating workgroup communication and meetings, preparing meeting materials, editing and revising documents, developing action plans, conducting research, taking meeting minutes, and other tasks as necessary. Other responsibilities include coordinating statewide conferences and meetings and responding to the dependency court improvement needs of local jurisdictions. Close working relationships are established with high level policymakers and officials in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government.
Essential Duties:
• Coordinates, plans, and implements training and technical assistance activities for dependency drug courts.
• Supports project management for dependency court improvement initiatives
• Develops and implements continuous quality improvement strategies for dependency court projects.
• Provides staff support to the Dependency Court Improvement Panel and other court committees.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Participates in interagency workgroups.
Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, information technology, business management, public or business administration, social science, or a closely related field.
Five years of related work experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Competencies
