Job summary

The Iowa Judicial Branch in Polk County seeks applicants for two Judicial Operations Clerk - Civil positions to perform data entry and customer service for efficient court operations and the integrity of court records.

These roles verify and process a high volume of documents, provide customer service to court users in person and by phone, and support case information for attorneys, judges, and agencies. Some travel within the district may be required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with court operations, record keeping and filing.
• Basic computer, database, software, and math skills.
• Ability to handle confidential data securely.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail in processing records.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the district.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the general public, attorneys, and court staff.
• Assist with resources, equipment, and services for court users.
• Process and file court documents per procedures.
• Review and publish information and documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks including cashier duties.
• Support courtroom preparations and digital recording tools.
• Maintain office organization, equipment, and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
