Job summary

The State of Oregon's Judicial Department seeks a Court Operations Associate for the Gilliam and Wheeler County courthouses. In this role you will handle court case workflow, receive pleadings, enter data into the case management system, answer questions, and assist the public at the service desk.

You will set up courtrooms, operate videoconferencing, perform real-time data entry, swear in witnesses, manage exhibits, and support judges and juries.

Responsibilities

• Perform court case workflow tasks: receive pleadings, enter data, check paperwork for accuracy.
• Answer and route phone calls, process incoming mail, file documents, and make copies.
• Provide information about court calendars and case status; supply forms and process payments.
• Support a judge in the courtroom; set up the courtroom and the jury room.
• Operate videoconferencing equipment, record proceedings, and perform real-time data entry.
• Swear in witnesses and jurors; mark and maintain exhibits and keep trial records.
• Assist jury support and help other court staff as needed.
