Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky's Administrative Office of the Courts seeks a Language Access Liaison for southwestern Kentucky, based in Warren County. The role provides approved language access services, including onsite, telephonic, and VRI interpretation, with extensive travel across the state.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Translation/Interpretation, 3 years of specialized court interpreting experience, and Kentucky interpreter certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Translation and/or Interpretation or related field.
• 3 years of specialized experience in the field of court interpreting.
• Must possess state court interpreter certification and be willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide approved language access services, including onsite interpretation, telephonic interpretation, and video remote interpretation (VRI).
• Maintain, analyze, and submit quarterly and annual reports on interpreter usage and statistics.
• Ensure accurate reporting of in-court and VRI events in proper databases.
• Collaborate with telecommunications and AV personnel to maintain interpreting equipment inventory and operations.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and certifying new interpreters as needed.
• Support translation services and edit translations as required.
• Perform other duties and special assignments as required.
