Job summary

The Colorado Judicial Branch is seeking a Court Interpreter to provide language services for LEP clients in court, probation, and related proceedings, in person, telephonically, or virtually. The role requires interpretation certification and prior experience in a judicial environment.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience Equivalency: Associate's degree or 2 years of college.
• 1 to 3 years of experience interpreting in a judicial environment.
• State or Federal Court Interpreter Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation in hearings for LEP clients.
• Schedule interpreters for languages other than Spanish (ASL, captions).
• Authorize invoices for independent contractors.
• Assist with docket distribution to contractors.
• Translate short documents and coordinate with Translation Department.
• Attend meetings and trainings; perform additional duties as assigned.
