Qualifications

• Interprets in simultaneous and consecutive modes for court proceedings and related departments.
• Performs sight translations of court documents for the record and proceedings.
• Maintains impartiality and accurate interpretation under challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Interpret from and into English and the applicable non-English language in court settings.
• Provide sight translations of petitions, reports, and other documents as needed.
• Notify court of issues that may affect interpretation performance, and research terminology.
• Work with judges, attorneys, court staff, and the public to facilitate proceedings.
