Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is seeking a Courier Coordinator to manage dispatching and route status for courier movements across ARH facilities designated as pickup and delivery points for laboratory specimens.

The role supports equipment readiness, maintains logs, and ensures accurate data records. It requires effective communication with lab sites and timely reporting of delivery times to enable consistent courier service.

Responsibilities

• Supports preparation of all equipment and accessories assigned to System Center for daily transport.
• Assists with record maintenance for all logs and pickups and deliveries (this includes driver name, locations, times, and materials).
• Establishes robust communications with lab sites and reports appropriate delivery times as required.
• Must produce consistent, timely and accurate work which supports the execution of the courier service.
• At the start of each workday, assist with taking a head count to ensure adequate resources are available.
• Reports any personnel shortages to supervisor to ensure vacancies are filled with urgency.
• May be asked to perform periodic visits to hospitals to gain customer feedback and to promote customer service.
• Assists supervisor with building courier schedules, as needed.
• Consistently relays pertinent communication between all locations for program success.
• May be required to provide backup courier services during after-hours.
• Assist supervisor with any administrative task, as needed.
• Coordinates transport of courier assigned vehicles to and from repair shops or other sites as needed.
