Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living in on-campus student homes and guiding 8–13 students. The role starts with a nine-on, three-off schedule and progresses to a placed houseparent position within a single student home.

Both spouses must complete separate applications; the position offers housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive benefits. Requires commitment to student growth and a smoke-free campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
