Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervising 8-13 students and shaping a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role starts with nine days on, three off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include housing, meals during duty, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple requirement.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
