Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents—married couples who reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and guide 8–13 students. The role provides a structured, family-like environment to support academic, emotional, and social development with a nine-days-on, three-days-off rhythm.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, routine management, coordinating activities, and leading devotions.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities, and planning/developing activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.

Skills

Experience with youth
