Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples as Full‑time Flex Houseparents to live in on‑campus student homes and care for a group of 8–13 students. The role combines supervision, guidance, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social growth in a structured, family‑like setting.

Couples must be legally married for at least two years, both partners at least 27, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship of students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan developmentally focused activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
