Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks dedicated couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. You will supervise a group of 8–13 students, mentor them daily, and help maintain routines and schedules that support academic, emotional, and social growth.

Two married partners aged 27+ are required; on-duty schedule is nine days on, three days off, with transition to a placed houseparent role over time. Compensation includes housing and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person married couple for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
