Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a County Director 5, Child Welfare Services in Savannah for the Department of Human Services. You will oversee Child Welfare Services and administrative operations of a County DFCS office, guiding policies to protect children and families and ensuring mandated services with priority on safety.

Lead subordinate managers, manage budgets, and drive program effectiveness while coordinating with community partners and the DFCS Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of experience including three (3) years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors.
• Experience with DFCS or comparable child welfare agency managing CPS, Foster Care and/or Adoptions.

Responsibilities

• Direct subordinate managers and staff within the DFCS office.
• Analyze and assess program effectiveness to meet outcome measures.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
• Develop and administer budgets and coordinate with county DFCS Board.
