Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and three years of supervisory experience in a human service delivery program.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and one year of experience at the lower level Cnty Dir 1, Child Welfare Svcs (SSM070) or position equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Child Welfare Services and administrative operations of a Class 2 County DFCS office.
• Manages administration of policies and programs designed to protect children and families.
• Ensures mandated services with priority of child safety and service provision to children and families.
• Directs subordinate supervisors and staff.
• Develops and administers budgets.
• Facilitates communication within the unit and with the county DFCS Board.
• Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, and disciplines staff.
