Job summary

Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services, is seeking a County Director 2 for Bainbridge, GA. This role oversees Child Welfare Services and administrative operations of a Class 2 County DFCS office.

You will manage policies, ensure mandated services, lead supervisors, develop budgets, and build community relationships. A Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience are required; telework options may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a human service delivery program.
• Experience in public service delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Child Welfare Services and administrative operations of a Class 2 County DFCS office.
• Manages administration of policies and programs to protect children and families.
• Ensures mandated services with priority of child safety and service provision to children and families.
• Directs subordinate supervisors and staff.
• Assures agency compliance with policies, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Builds cooperative team-oriented environment within units and with other agencies.
