Job summary

Angel Biscuit Co. and Emily Pizza in West Ashley are seeking a friendly Counter Server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver great hospitality from open to close.

You’ll learn both menus, speak to ingredients and allergens, operate the POS, and help keep the dining and counter areas tidy. We value quick movement with accuracy, teamwork, and genuine care for guests in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or guest service is preferred.
• Willing to learn menu details and allergens.
• Flexible with weekend/holiday schedules.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and hospitality.

We’re bringing two concepts together under one roof in West Ashley—Angel Biscuit Co. by day and Emily Pizza by night.

Mornings are all about scratch-made biscuits, seriously good bagels, and breakfast worth getting out of bed for. By night, we switch gears to handcrafted pizza and a laid-back neighborhood atmosphere built around great food and hospitality. We’re looking for Counter Serverswho genuinely enjoy being around people, move with purpose, and understand that great hospitality doesn’t have to feel scripted. You’ll be one of the faces of the restaurant, helping guests feel welcome and making sure their experience is easy, friendly, and worth coming back for.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Counter Server & Food Runner, you’ll help create a smooth guest experience from the moment someone walks through the door until they leave.

You’ll:

• Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Take orders, answer questions, and help guests navigate the menu and find something they’ll love.
• Learn our menus and confidently speak to ingredients, modifications, allergens, and menu offerings.
• Operate the POS system and accurately handle cash and electronic payments.
• Run food to guests quickly, accurately, and with attention to presentation.
• Check in with guests, anticipate what they may need, and take care of the little things before they have to ask.
• Keep the counter, dining room, beverage stations, and other guest areas clean, stocked, and ready.
• Clear and reset tables and help keep the restaurant looking its best throughout the shift.
• Stay connected with the kitchen and the rest of the team to help keep orders accurate and service moving.
• Provide takeout and pickup guests with the same level of hospitality as our dine-in guests.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, workplace safety, and restaurant procedures.
• Jump in to support other front-of-house responsibilities whenever needed.

• Have previous restaurant, retail, coffee shop, counter-service, or customer-service experience—or are ready to learn. We’re happy to train the right person.
• Can learn a POS system and comfortably move between different front-of-house responsibilities.
• Are available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Can perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing and walking for extended periods and safely performing the physical tasks associated with restaurant service.
