Job summary

Etna Supply in Wixom, MI is seeking a Counter Associate to join our fast-paced, multi-location team. You will assist counter customers, process sales orders, pick and stage orders, and support warehouse and yard operations in a safe, organized environment.

Typically 1–2 years of related experience or a high school diploma is required. You will collaborate with teammates, maintain accurate inventory, and help deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Assist counter customers by answering questions, identifying needs, and processing sales orders.
• Pick, package, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently, typically within one hour of order release.
• Understand warehouse/yard layout, bin locations, and product inventory.
• Verify orders, label materials, complete documentation, and stage orders in designated locations.
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, shipping errors, and inventory discrepancies.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and follow all safety procedures.
• Support stocking, cleanliness, and organization of the counter, warehouse, and yard.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships and support product promotions.
• Assist warehouse and other team members as needed.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and work safely at all times.
