Job summary

Etna Supply is seeking a reliable Counter Associate to provide outstanding customer service while processing, picking, and staging orders. You will support counter, warehouse, and yard operations in a safe, organized environment and help ensure accurate order fulfillment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, on-time order processing, and maintaining strong customer relationships in a fast-paced, multi-location setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years related experience and training.
• Must pass operator exam and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
• Must pass a substance abuse screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations
• Assist counter customers by answering questions, identifying needs, and processing sales orders
• Pick, package, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently, typically within one hour of order release
• Understand warehouse/yard layout, bin locations, and product inventory
• Verify orders, label materials, complete documentation, and stage orders in designated locations
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, shipping errors, and inventory discrepancies
• Operate material handling equipment safely and follow all safety procedures
• Support stocking, cleanliness, and organization of the counter, warehouse, and yard
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships and support product promotions
• Assist warehouse and other team members as needed
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and work safely at all times
