Job summary

World Electric, part of the Sonepar family, seeks a Counter Sales Representative in Florida to sell electrical supplies at counter locations and manage related order processing. Responsibilities include handling customer questions, processing payments, and coordinating stock and special orders.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year of customer service experience, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and bilingual English/Spanish in the South Florida region.

• Strong math and reading skills; Forklift certification preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) in South Florida Region.

Responsibilities

• Determine the make and type of product needed.
• Discuss use and features of various parts.
• Research replacement part stock number and price.
• Fill customer orders from stock.
• Place special orders and branch transfers for nonstock orders or backorders.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Advise customers on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
• Receive and fill telephone orders.
• Assist customers with gathering their material and loading it into their vehicle.
• Make proactive telephone calls to potential new customers and existing customers.
• Greet customers in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Operate computer to order, enter and retrieve data.
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.
• Construct orders based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.
• Box up and label material.
• Examine returned part to determine if defective, and exchange part or refunds money.
• Assist in organizing counter; verify correct quantities and items for all sections.

The Counter Sales Representative willbe responsible forselling electrical supplies, various parts, and equipment at specific counter locations. This includesfacilitatingmoving products throughout the warehouse through equipment in areas such as Receiving, Stocking, Shipping, OrderProcessingand Replenishment.
