Job summary

Granite Group Wholesalers LLC is seeking an entry-level counter salesperson to provide courteous service, maintain shelves, and support daily operations at our Manchester NH location.

Primary duties include assisting customers, processing sales tickets, answering phones, and promoting merchandise while delivering a positive customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, heating and industrial supply products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at the counter and respond to requests promptly and courteously.
• Enter counter sales tickets with catalog numbers, quantities and descriptions for pricing.
• Answer phones promptly and handle inquiries and orders accurately.
• Sell merchandise and present a friendly, proactive sales persona to customers.

Position Explanation:

Provide expeditious and courteous service while maintaining a clean area and a positive outlook. Wait on customers at the counter. Maintain stocked shelves. Keep supervisors advised of product shortages and problems.

• Greet customers and handle customer requests promptly and courteously.
• Enter counter sales tickets into the computer with the necessary catalog numbers, quantities and sufficient description for accurate pricing.
• Answer the telephone promptly and courteously and handle telephone inquiries and orders promptly and accurately.
• Sell merchandise, develop and present a sales personality with all customers.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of plumbing, heating and industrial supply products is a plus.

Education and Experience:
