Job summary

Standard Air is a growing HVAC distributor seeking an experienced Counter Sales Representative. You will assist walk-in, phone, email, and web customers, process quotes and sales orders, and support sales operations in a fast-paced HVAC distribution environment.

This role emphasizes customer service, product promotion, inventory accuracy, and coordination with shipping. Strong communication, organization, and MS Office skills are required; ERP experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus and HVAC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
• HVAC industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in, phone, email, and web customers.
• Process quotes, sales orders, returns, and warranty paperwork accurately.
• Prepare and stage customer pickup orders.
• Communicate order status, arrivals, and backorders to customers.
• Promote HVAC products and assist customers with product selection.
• Support warehouse operations, including stocking shelves and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Prepare UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in after-hours rotation as needed.
