Job summary

Capital Electric, a Capital Electric division and part of the Sonepar family, is seeking a motivated Counter Sales Associate for our Frederick, Maryland location. You will engage customers, assist with product selection, and process orders at the counter. The role requires basic sales skills, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

MS Office proficiency is expected. A strong work ethic and good communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred, but training will be provided.
• Electrical knowledge is a plus and helpful for customer guidance.
• Strong math, verbal and written communication are essential.
• Computer skills and MS Office literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer phone calls.
• Greet walk-in customers.
• Assist customers with orders and product selection.
• Pick customer orders from warehouse and bring to counter.
• Prepare customer sales tickets and process charges.
• Promote and sell company promotions.
• Support warehouse functions as needed.
• Aim to meet monthly sales and gross margin goals.
• Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism toward customers.
• Multi-task and prioritize daily tasks.
