Job summary

United Electric Supply is seeking a customer-focused Counter Sales Representative in New Castle, Delaware. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling in-person inquiries, order processing, and providing product advice at the counter.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized counter, managing inventory, pricing, and quoting bids. You will work closely with the sales team and internal departments to meet sales goals and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Verify shipment of goods received from branch transfers and packing slips.
• Organize and stock warehouse shelves with incoming materials and supplies.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe stock area.
• Participate in Cycle Counting at the branch.
• Provide accurate information to customers and greet them at the sales counter or by phone.
• Price, recommend, and sell products; quote jobs and bids on materials.
• Collect materials from shelves matching customer orders and applications.
• Assist with pulls for transfers, phone orders, and deliveries as needed.
• Keep the counter area clean and safe.
• Resolve customer questions or problems promptly and tactfully.
• Stay informed on new product information and promotions.
• Meet or exceed sales budgets by seeking new business and promotions.
• Collaborate with internal departments to better serve customers.
