Job summary

Airgas in Lima, OH is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment and supplies. You will advise customers on tools and materials, handle order entry and transactions, and coordinate deliveries while maintaining a positive showroom.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• Forklift experience required, with training provided upon hire.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Capable of moving items up to 50 pounds regularly with assistance as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills for a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Advising customers on tools, hardware and materials to complete projects.
• Manage order entry and process transactions accurately.
• Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization.
• Stock shelves and maintain welcoming showroom displays.
• Coordinate with customers via phone, email and in person to provide cost and delivery information.
• Support an outgoing call strategy to grow the branch.
