Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to be the face of the company for customers walking in or calling with time-sensitive electrical needs. You will identify parts, quote accurately, and close sales while building lasting relationships with contractors and facility managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of electrical industry experience preferred; attitude and reliability matter more than years.
• Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and lift items up to 70 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to getting things right the first time.
• Dependable attendance and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and call-in customers with part identification, product selection, and order processing.
• Provide accurate quotes and follow through to close - no dropped handoffs.
• Build strong customer relationships that bring contractors and facility managers back by name.
• Represent Shepherd professionally in every interaction - appearance, conduct, and communication.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of electrical products across multiple product lines.
• Identify parts correctly so customers get what they need the first time.
• Support accurate order processing so transactions are right before they leave the counter.
• Participate in ongoing product training to stay sharp and current.
