We are seeking candidates for a direct hire Counter Sales/Customer Service role with an Engineering / Automation firm on the West side.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a parts retail environment and will bring strong communication skills, resourcefulness, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Apply product and industry knowledge to match client needs with appropriate solutions.
• Respond to client inquiries about product features, usage, and industry trends.
• Prepare and provide quotes, credit terms, and bid specifications.
• Coordinate with purchasing, operations, and other internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and delivery.
• Occasionally travel to meet with clients or attend business-related events or training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong sales/customer service, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of technical or mechanical products (HVAC preferred).
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.

Schedule: Full-time, day shift role

Pay: $20 - $28/hour based on industry experience
