Job summary

Airgas is hiring for a Counter Sales/Backup CDL Driver in Tallahassee, FL. The role involves serving customers in the retail shop, selling medical and industrial gases, welding equipment, and related hard goods. You will drive a CDL B truck, deliver to customers, and assist with payments and loading.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements, or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Valid driver's license, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or one conviction + one accident in 3 years.
• No DUI in last 7 years.
• Must lift 75lbs regularly; move 125lbs with equipment.
• 1 year CDL driving experience in last 5 years or trucking school completion in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Sells medical, industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers.
• Support walk-in and phone-in customers with their needs.
• Load, unload, and deliver with a CDL B truck; handle liquids and cylinders.
• Process payments and enter sales into the system; assist loading purchases.
• Maintain showroom environment.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Build relationships with customers at their locations.
