Airgas, Inc. in Marinette, WI is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to balance high-energy customer interactions with practical operational support.

You will guide customers, recommend tools and supplies, and assist with order entry and transactions in a dynamic industrial environment. The role offers Monday–Friday schedules with no weekend work, PPE provided, and a robust benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a retail or customer service environment; industrial sales exposure a plus.
• Forklift experience required; training provided on hire.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Capable of moving items up to 50 pounds regularly; use of material handling equipment as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies.
• Advise customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed to complete projects; demonstrate equipment use.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately (coding, costing, pricing).
• Coordinate with customers and team via phone, e-mail, and in person to provide cost and delivery information.
• Entry orders and process transactions; assist with deposits reconciliation.
• Maintain showroom displays and stock shelves for an excellent customer experience.
