Job summary

NORTHESTER SUPPLY INC is seeking a Counter Sales Associate for our branch to drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will assist walk-in and telephone customers with product selection, pricing, and order fulfillment.

You will maintain a clean counter, upsell complementary products, and build lasting relationships while following company policies. This full-time role requires the ability to lift 75 lbs and stand up to 8 hours, with benefits available after 45 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Product, applications, or wholesale distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment & Inventory: Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup; track order status at all times.
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, conduct audits, and process returns accurately.
• Customer Service: Assist counter and phone customers with orders, product info, pricing, and availability.
• Greet all customers professionally; resolve issues promptly or escalate as needed.
• Sales & Product Knowledge: Upsell complementary products and convert requests to stocked brands where appropriate.
